Daniela E. Elcock is a native of Hyattsville, Maryland. She trained at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC where she studied under Charles Augins, Sandra Fortune-Green, Katherine Smith, Nikki Sutton, Treanna Alexander, and Melvin Deal. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County where she was a Dance Major and a Linehan Artist Scholar. While at UMBC Daniela performed with the Baltimore Dance Project, the universities resident dance company under the direction of Carol Hess and Doug Hamby. Daniela was also a member, and artistic director of UMBC's hip-hop team Major Definition. In addition she has studied at Ballet Creole's Summer Intensive in Ontario Canada under Milton Myers, Gabby Kamino, Debbie Wilson and Patrick Parson. In addition to performing, she enjoys sharing her love for dance with community. Daniela is also currently the director of the dance ministries at Union Temple Baptist Church in Washington, DC and The Gathering of the Remnant Worship Center: Hope Headquarters in Fort Washington, MD.
